The Church conducts funeral services of members or non-members. To avoid distress, however, the availability of the Minister on a particular day, time or place cannot be assumed. Undertakers generally try to observe the courtesies and proprieties, but the Minister must be consulted before arrangements are finalised. The Minister will want to meet the wishes of the family in terms of the meaning of the service of worship which every funeral is.

Generally if the funeral is a burial then a service in the house can be appropriate. If it is a cremation it is now more appropriate to have one main service only at the Crematorium.
